Sari Palosaari explores space, time, matter and forces. She creates spatial setups in which different material bodies and objects take place and perform. Through considering the materials´ relations, affects and autonomous laws, and, through implementing simple gestures and temporal processes, she deconstructs stabilizing significations placing stress on continuity and transformative motion. In the often site-responsive works she weaves together loose assemblages between the context-specific materialities and histories. Her practice revolves around the shift away from the Western modernity and anthropocentric worldview toward more sensitive futures.

The works can be seen as poetic images of the instantaneous but with speculations on pasts and futures.
